Halloween New Orleans
For more than four decades, Halloween New Orleans has stood as one of the nation’s most enduring and impactful volunteer-driven fundraising events. What began in 1984 as a gathering of friends celebrating in costume has evolved into a fabulous, queer party weekend that welcomes thousands of guests from across the country, united in support of compassionate HIV/AIDS care.
Today, Halloween New Orleans — a local nonprofit — remains a powerful partner in advancing the Project Lazarus mission. Exactly 100% of the funds raised during the event directly benefit Project Lazarus and the vital housing, wellness, and supportive programs we provide to our Project Lazarus residents. Halloween New Orleans has contributed more than $4.7 million to sustain and amplify our services. It is also one of the only remaining fully volunteer-led, 100% donation-based event weekends in the United States.
