Testimonials
Project Lazarus is a blessed place. A wonderful gift for those who may have struggled with finding a good residence that will be supportive to them on their journey toward wholeness. I am personally privileged to accompany some of the residents in their healing and restoration to new life.
Archbishop Alfred Hughes, Project Lazarus volunteer
Project Lazarus has given me an amazing opportunity to help others and I will always cherish the memories I’ve made here. The most rewarding part of my 20 plus years with the organization— both as a board member and fundraiser— was seeing the happy faces of those we were serving. Giving back to Lazarus, of both my time and resources, is truly a pleasure.
Mark McKeown, Board President 2019-2021
Project Lazarus is a home stitched together with love. It is an honor for me to witness God’s handiwork here.
Tom Adler, Ignatian Volunteer Corps
I am impressed with how Project Lazarus and its staff have evolved as a sign of the times of HIV. It is this ongoing evolution of care that inspires me to continue to be a part of the Project Lazarus community. Although the challenges of living with HIV still exist, Project Lazarus continuously helps people to rejoin society through education and motivation.
Gary Schiro, Board Member
I can be myself and I learn something new every day. I’ve realized that I’ve spent a lot of my life hiding. Being gay, black, and HIV positive, it’s hard to feel safe opening up. Project Lazarus is a safe space where I can grow and heal.

The most gratifying part from my time at Project Lazarus is seeing graduates from our program out and about in the community. To know what they’ve gone through to get back on their feet and to see them prospering in their new jobs and communities has been truly special.
Gregory Domingue, Board President 2021-2023
