I can be myself and I learn something new every day. I’ve realized that I’ve spent a lot of my life hiding. Being gay, black, and HIV positive, it’s hard to feel safe opening up. Project Lazarus is a safe space where I can grow and heal.

The most gratifying part from my time at Project Lazarus is seeing graduates from our program out and about in the community.  To know what they’ve gone through to get back on their feet and to see them prospering in their new jobs and communities has been truly special.
